Graduate School of Rehabilitation Science

Staying ahead of the times through the realization of a physical and occupational therapeutic hybrid with cutting-edge medicine

In order to realize a “self-reliant welfare society” that enables for independent, high-quality living in all life stages for all people, regardless of whether one has an illness or disability, it is necessary to consider new forms of rehabilitation that are closely linked to one’s lifestyle, that supports independence and social participation in the community and that overcomes the barriers of traditional rehabilitation medicine, which consists of treatment, recovery and suppression of the progression of disabilities. In the Graduate School of Rehabilitation Science, human resources who possess advanced research capabilities are developed, with the goal of establishing new rehabilitation studies extending from health maintenance/promotion and preventing illnesses and disabilities, to treatment, recovery and social rehabilitation/participation.
