We are conducting theoretical research on low-temperature physics. At sufficiently low temperatures, such as micro- and nano-Kelvin, mysterious phenomena such as Bose-Einstein condensation (BEC) and superfluidity occur. In this laboratory, we theoretically study quantum fluid dynamics and quantum turbulence created by BEC and superfluid helium.
Message to international students and young researchers
Our laboratory is involved in many international research projects, not only in Japan but also in the United Kingdom and the United States. We give opportunities to students to write papers starting from their master’s studies and present them at international conferences. We encourage students who want to spread their wings to the world through physics to come to our laboratory.
